Golden Butter Cookies
Baking Time: 8-10 minutes
Temperature: 400°
Yields: 4 dozens
- 1 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
- Cream butter with salt until soft.
- Blend in sugar, 1/4 cup at a time until mixture is fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Stir in flour.
- Pack dough into a cookie press and press shapes onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.
NOTE: If dough is too soft to work with, refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes.
