Sugar Gems
Baking Time: 8-10 minutes
Temperature: 375°
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 c. Wesson oil
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- Cream the margarine, oil and sugars.
- Add the vanilla and eggs.
- Add the dry ingredients.
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
- Form into balls.
- Dip in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten and sprinkle with colored sugar.
- Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes.
