Chow Fun
Services: 6-8 servings
- 4 slices luncheon meat
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1 piece ginger root, mashed
- 1/2 c. carrots, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 stalks of celery, thinly sliced
- 1 pkg. beansprouts
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. Ajinomoto
- 1 tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp. sesame seed oil
- 2 tbsp. shoyu
- Dash of pepper
- 2 stalks green onion, chopped in 1″ pieces
- 1 pkg. dry chow fun noodles
- Cut luncheon meat into thin slices.
- Prepare chow fun noodles according to directions on the package. Drain.
- Heat oil in skillet or wok.
- Add luncheon meat and ginger root and cook until lightly browned.
- Stir in sliced vegetables and spices.
- Add chow fun noodles and beansprouts.
- Cook for 1 minute.
- Garnish with green onions just before serving.
NOTE: Char siu may be substituted for luncheon meat.
