Chow Fun

Services: 6-8 servings

  • 4 slices luncheon meat
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 piece ginger root, mashed
  • 1/2 c. carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 stalks of celery, thinly sliced
  • 1 pkg. beansprouts
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Ajinomoto
  • 1 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame seed oil
  • 2 tbsp. shoyu
  • Dash of pepper
  • 2 stalks green onion, chopped in 1″ pieces
  • 1 pkg. dry chow fun noodles

  1. Cut luncheon meat into thin slices.
  2. Prepare chow fun noodles according to directions on the package. Drain.
  3. Heat oil in skillet or wok.
  4. Add luncheon meat and ginger root and cook until lightly browned.
  5. Stir in sliced vegetables and spices.
  6. Add chow fun noodles and beansprouts.
  7. Cook for 1 minute.
  8. Garnish with green onions just before serving.

NOTE: Char siu may be substituted for luncheon meat.
