Zippy Lamb Shanks

  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 4 lamb shanks

Combine all ingredients except lamb for the sauce. Cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Season lamb shanks with salt and pepper, and brown in a small amount of fat. Add sauce cover and simmer 1¼ hours or until tender, or cover and bake in slow oven 325 degrees about 2 hours or until done.
