Oatmeal Cookies
Baking Time: 12 minutes
Temperature: 350°
Yields: 5-6 dozens
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 3 c. old fashioned oatmeal
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Cream butter and sugars.
- Add eggs, one at a time.
- Add vanilla.
- Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.
- Add oatmeal, then nuts and raisins.
- Form into rolls with wax paper.
- Refrigerate for several hours or more.
- Slice into 1/2 inch pieces.
- Bake at 350º for 12 minutes.
NOTE: Dough may be refrigerated for a week before
baking.
