Sponge Drops

Baking Time: 8 minutes
Temperature: 375°

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1 c. whipping cream

1. Beat eggs well. Add sugar while beating.
2. Add sifted dry ingredients.
3. Drop by small teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake until brown about 8 minutes at 375°.
4. When cool, put whipped cream between cookies and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
5. Leave in the refrigerator for several hours.

NOTE: May add sugar and vanilla to flavor whipping cream.
