Lollipop Cookies

Baking Time: 8-10 minutes
Temperature: 375°

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

1. Combine butter and sugar and cream together.
2. To this mixture, add the egg and vanilla.
3. Beat in flour, baking soda and cream of tartar.
4. Stir until smooth.
5. Form into two cylinders and wrap in wax paper.
6. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
7. Cut into 1/4-inch slices and place on greased cookie sheets.
8. Insert popsicle sticks or wooden coffee stirrers into the side of the cookie.
9. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes.

NOTE: M&M’s or chocolate chip morsels may be used for decoration.
