Golden Butter Cookies

Baking Time: 8-10 minutes
Temperature: 400°

Yields: 4 dozens

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  1. Cream butter with salt until soft.
  2. Blend in sugar, 1/4 cup at a time until mixture is fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  4. Stir in flour.
  5. Pack dough into a cookie press and press shapes onto ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.

NOTE: If dough is too soft to work with, refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes.
