Sweet Sour Sauces
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1 can pineapple juice, 6 oz.
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. sherry
- Ginger root, grated
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tbsp. water
1. Heat and thicken: salt, vinegar, catsup, pineapple juice, sugar, sherry, ginger.
2. Add cornstarch mixed with water.
SERVING HINT:
Dredge fish with flour, dip in beaten egg, dredge in cornstarch and deep fry. Pour thickened sweet sour sauce over fish. Garnish with pickled vegetables, chinese parsley and sesame seeds.
