Sweet Sour Chicken Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 c. cornstarch
  • garlic salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. MSG
  • 1 egg

Chop wing tips + boil in water for stock. Sprinkle wing tips w/ garlic salt + MSG, let sit for 1/2 hr. Roll in well beaten egg + then in cornstarch. Fry wings in hot oil until lightly brown. Place in pan + pour sauce over wings + bake for 1/2 hour. Turn + bake another 1/2 hr.

Sauce:

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tbl. ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. vinegar

Heat sauce before pouring over chicken.

  • 1/2 c. stock
  • 3 tbl. shoyu
  • 1 tsp. MSG
