Spanish Pork

  • 1 4 lb. lean pork, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp. MSG
  • 1 tsp. bagoong sauce
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 cans sweet peas, canned or frozen
  • 2 small cans sliced pimentos
  • ½ can tomato paste
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ can tomato sauce
  • 1 medium size onion, sliced thinly
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. shoyu (Optional)

Brown fatty part of pork. Remove lard. Then add meat part and brown. Add garlic, bay leaves salt, pepper, vinegar, onion bagoong and MSG. Lower heat and cook for about 15 minutes until tender. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, peas, then pimentos. Allow to heat thoroughly.
