Spare Ribs

  • ½ cup shoyu
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¾ cup raw sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. wine
  • 1 inch piece ginger root
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • Monosodium glutamate

Mix above ingredients in a large bowl.

  • 3 to 4 pounds of ribs.

In a large pot, cover ribs with water. Cook over low heat until tender. (25-30 minutes). Slice ribs in strips. Put into sauce and soak overnight. Broil until brown on both sides.
