Shoyu Pork
- 2 cups Shoyu
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2-1/2 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Sake or Liquor
- 1 teaspoon Vinegar
- 1 inch Ginger, cut or slice
- 2 to 3 cloves Garlic, cut
- 5 pounds Pork Butt
In a large pot combine shoyu, sugar, water, sake, vinegar, ginger and garlic. Mix well. Add pork. Bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 3 hours. Slice pork or cut into chunks.
