Pronto Pops

  • 1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. double action baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Vienna sausages or hot dogs
  • Oil for frying
  1. Combine all of the ingredients and add enough water to make a soft but not runny dough.
  2. Poke barbecue sticks into the vienna sausages or hot dogs.
  3. Dip in dough and fry in deep fat until slightly brown and keep turning “pronto” until done.
