Lumpia

  • 1 lb. hamburger or ground pork
  • 1 round onion, sliced thin
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ajinomoto, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 can water chestnuts, diced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 2 pkgs. beansprouts
  • 2 tbsp. shoyu
  • Oil for frying

Sauce:

  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 c. cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Ajinomoto, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  1. Brown hamburger till half done.
  2. Add onions, salt, Ajinomoto, and pepper.
  3. Add vegetables: water chestnuts, carrots, and beansprouts.
  4. When vegetables are done; add shoyu over vegetables and mix.
  5. Drain in strainer till mixture is dry.
  6. Wrap filling in lumpia wrapper and deep fry.
  7. Drain on paper towels standing up.
  8. Mix all ingredients together for sauce. Dip lumpia in sauce when eating.

NOTE: Hearty eating! You can make lumpia in advance and freeze till you need them.
