Gorgeous Chocolate Pie

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 sqs. chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
  • Whipped cream and shredded coconut

Combine sugar, salt, flour, cornstarch, water, milk and chocolate. Bring to boil, cook until thickens. Stir constantly. Remove from heat, stir in beaten eggs, return to heat, cook 1 minute. Add butter and vanilla. Cool. Pour in pie shell; sprinkle with coconut and serve with whipped cream.
