Water-Beat Pastry

  • 1 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. minus 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3 Tbsp. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. milk

Combine shortening, water and milk. Stir until smooth. Add flour and salt. Shape dough with fingers. Prick crust. Bake in 425 degree F. until brown.
