Fried Shrimps

Mrs. Thelma Woo – Papaikou

  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 2 T oil
  • 2 stalks green onion (cut 1½” long)

Sauce:

  • 2 T shoyu
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 T wine
  • 1 T sugar
  • ⅛ tsp salt

Wash and clean shrimps without removing shells. Soak shrimps in sauce for 30 minutes. (Mix all ingredients together for sauce.)

To heated pan, add the 2 T oil, green onions and drained shrimps. To the drained sauce, add cornstarch. As shrimps turn red, pour sauce into pan to thicken. Serve immediately.
