Cold Chicken With Oyster Sauce

  • 4 lbs. fryer chicken
  • 1 small piece ginger, chopped
  • 1/2 c. oyster sauce
  • 1/2 c. shoyu
  1. Boil ginger in pot of water; add whole fryer chicken and boil until done (about 20 minutes).
  2. Remove chicken from water and cool.
  3. Cut chicken into serving pieces and arrange on the serving platter.
  4. Mix dipping sauce of oyster sauce and shoyu. Place sauce container on the platter.
  5. Garnish with parsley, if desired.

NOTE: The ginger water can be made into a delicious soup by adding vegetables or even long rice!
