Cold Chicken With Oyster Sauce
- 4 lbs. fryer chicken
- 1 small piece ginger, chopped
- 1/2 c. oyster sauce
- 1/2 c. shoyu
- Boil ginger in pot of water; add whole fryer chicken and boil until done (about 20 minutes).
- Remove chicken from water and cool.
- Cut chicken into serving pieces and arrange on the serving platter.
- Mix dipping sauce of oyster sauce and shoyu. Place sauce container on the platter.
- Garnish with parsley, if desired.
NOTE: The ginger water can be made into a delicious soup by adding vegetables or even long rice!
