Butterfish Miso Yaki

  • 1 lb. frozen butterfish

Miso Sauce:

  • 1/2 c. miso (soy bean sauce)
  • 2 tbsp. mirin (sweet Japanese rice wine)
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger root, grated
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  1. Combine sauce ingredients; mix thoroughly.
  2. Marinate thawed butterfish in sauce for 3-4 hours.
  3. Place fish filets on broiler pans.
  4. Broil for approximately 4 to 6 minutes on each side.

NOTE: The fish may also be panfried over medium heat.
