Miso Pork Roast

  • 5 lbs. pork butt
  • 1 piece ginger root, mashed
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed
  • 3/4 c. miso
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. shoyu
  • 1/2 tsp. Ajinomoto
  1. Mix miso, sugar, and shoyu thoroughly in a large pot.
  2. Add ginger and garlic and mix well.
  3. Place pork butt in pot and simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until done and well soaked.
  4. Slice and serve hot!
