Sweet Sour Spare Ribs

- 3 lbs pork ribs, cut up
- 1 T shortening
- 1 clove garlic, chopped fine
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 T sugar
- 3/4 c vinegar (white)
- 2 T soy sauce
Heat pressure cooker, add fat. Sear ribs until golden brown. Combine all other ingredients and pour over ribs. Place cover on cooker and cook for 15 minutes at 10 lb. pressure. Cool cooker at once. Simmer ribs in uncovered cooker for several minutes or until well coated with sauce. Serves four to six.
