Broiled Spareribs
- 3 lbs. spareribs, cut 4” lengths
- 1 1-inch piece of ginger grated
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp. sherry or mirin
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ cup + 2 tbsp. sugar
- ½ tsp. monosodium glutamate
Boil ribs in very little water. Simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender, drain, combine ingredients in sauce for 30 minutes. Broil over charcoal or in oven.
