Turnips and Pork

- 1 T shoyu
- 1/16 tsp pepper
- 3/4 c boiling water
- 1 1/3 T cornstarch
- 2 tsp salad or peanut oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp oyster sauce
- 4 c turnips cut into 1 x 2 x 1/4″ pieces
- 3/4 c lean pork cut into 1 x 2 x 1/4″ pieces
Add the shoyu, 3/4 tsp salt, cornstarch and pepper to pork and allow to stand 30 min. Combine 3/4 tsp salt, the boiling water and the turnips. Cook until tender and drain off the water. Heat the oil, brown the pork. add turnips, 1/2 tsp salt and the oyster sauce, allowing this to simmer for 5 min. Serve hot.
