Teriyaki Short Ribs

  • 4 lbs meaty ribs

Sauce:

  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2/3 c shoyu
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 t grated ginger
  • 1 clove grated garlic
  • 2 T salad oil
  • 2 T sesame seed (toasted and ground)
  • 1 stalk chopped green onion
  • 1 t ajinomoto

Cut the bones between the ribs into serving pieces, being careful not to break the meat away from the bone. Make a sauce from the above ingredients. Marinate the ribs in the sauce for one hour, turning at least once. Place on a cold broiler pan and broil for 5 minutes. Dip ribs in left-over sauce again and broil other side 4 to 5 minutes longer.
