Barbecued Meat Balls

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup uncooked oatmeal (or bread crumbs)
  • 2 T fat
  • green onions (chopped small)
  • garlic (chopped small)

Combine all ingredients except fat and mix well. Shape into 12 balls. Brown meat in hot fat in skillet. While meat browns, prepare barbecue sauce.

Barbecue sauce:

  • 1/2 C catsup
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 2 T cider vinegar
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T shoyu
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard

Combine all ingredients and pour over meat balls. Cover pan and cook until meat balls are done (about 20 min.).
