Sweet Sour Spareribs

  • 2 lbs. spareribs
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 c. oil

Gravy:

  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. brown or white sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 4 tbsp. shoyu
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  1. Coat spareribs in seasoned flour.
  2. Brown spareribs in heated oil.
  3. Add the browned spareribs to gravy and boil until tender; approximately 1 1/2 hours.

NOTE: Shake spareribs in a brown paper bag or large plastic bag.
