Spare Ribs With Red Bean Curds

  • 3 pounds spareribs
  • 1½ tbsp. shoyu
  • 1 tbsp. wine
  • 1 tsp. ajinomoto
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • ¼ cup red bean curds
  • ½ tsp. five spice
  • 1 tbsp. oyster sauce

Mix shoyu, wine, ajinomoto, water, red bean curds, five spice and oyster sauce. Smear ribs with sauce. Let soak for 2 hours. Put into baking pan with rest of sauce poured over it. Bake in moderate oven 325 degrees for 1½ hours or until tender.
