Shrimp Tofu

  • ½ lb. shrimps, cleaned
  • 2 tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 medium round onion, sliced
  • 1 block tofu, cut in 1 inch cubes

Seasonings:

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ cup shoyu
  • ¼ cup sake (rice wine)
  • ¼ tsp. MSG
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup green onion, cut in 1 inch lengths

Stir fry shrimps in hot oil for 1 minute. Add onion, tofu and seasoning ingredients. Cook over medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes. Add green onion and cook additional minute. Serve hot with rice. Yield 4 to 6 servings.
