Meat Loaf With Zesty Topping

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1½ cups soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ¼ cup catchup
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. prepared mustard

Pour milk over bread crumbs. Add ground beef, salt, pepper, carrot, onion and eggs. Mix thoroughly. Pack in a 9×5 inch loaf pan. Mix catchup, brown sugar and mustard. Spread catchup mixture on meat loaf. Bake in a slow over (325 degrees F.) 1½ hours. 8 servings.
