Korean Fried Rice
- 1 lb. pork
- 1 lb. bean sprouts
- 4 to 6 stalks green onion, chopped fine
- 2 med. carrots, sliced fine
- 1/2 lb. Chinese peas
- 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms
- 2 tbsp. sesame oil
- 6 tbsp. shoyu
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. sesame seed
- 1 clove garlic (chopped or mashed)
- 4 cups cooked rice
Slice pork and soak in sauce made of shoyu, salt, sugar, sesame seed, garlic and chopped green onion, for about 1 hour.
Steam bean sprouts for a few minutes.
Fry pork in sesame oil until cooked through. Add carrots and cook. Then add bean sprouts, mushrooms and peas. Add rice at the end and pour sauce left over from pork. Mix well and serve.
