Barbecued Short Ribs
Yield – 4 servings
- 3 pounds beef short ribs
- 3 tbsp. fat
- 1 onion, chopped
- ¼ cup vinegar
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- ½ cup sliced celery
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup catsup
Melt fat in a heavy skillet. Brown the short ribs and onion in hot fat. Add all remaining ingredients, cover and cook slowly for 1½ to 2 hours or until tender or bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees).
