Bar-B-Qued Ham Slices
Mary Lepine
Mary Lepine offered this sumptuous bar-b-qued ham. Delicious hot or cold, it’s guaranteed company success. Serve with an avocado-fruit salad and hot rolls.
Simmer 1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup apricot nectar (1 small can)
¼ cup prepared mustard
1 teaspoon whole cloves
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ cup grenadine syrup for 5 minutes and cool.
Marinate 2-4 slices center cut ham 1 ½ inches thick, for 2 hours or longer, turning occasionally. Trim off excess fat and score the edges of ham before marinating.
Bar-b-q over medium fire-not too close to the coals. Do not sear or burn the ham.
Cook 45 minutes.
Slice ham diagonally in ⅛ inch slices. Each ham slice serves 2-3 persons, depending on the size of the center cut.
