Baked Pork Steak

  • 1 pound pork steak (½ inch thick)
  • 1 large potato (cut into ½ inch slices)

Mix the following seasonings in a bowl:

  • 2 tbsp. grated onion
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 slice garlic – crushed
  • 4 tbsp. shoyu
  • ½ tsp. ve-tsin
  • 1 slice ginger – crushed

Soak pork in seasoning for 20 minutes. Line a greased baking dish with the potato slices. Place pork on top. Pour the remaining seasoning over the pork and bake at 350 degrees for ¾ hour. Turn over once or twice for even browning. Raise temperature of oven to 450 degrees the last minutes of baking. Arrange pork and potatoes on a platter and garnish with chinese parsley.
