Pizza

Temperature: 400°

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/4 c. warm water
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

Sauce:

  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • Cheeses (mozzarella, swiss, cheddar, and parmesan)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water till bubbly.
  2. Add flour, oil, and sugar and mix well.
  3. Add salt and mix with dough hook; whip till dough separates from side of bowl.
  4. Let rise till double in bulk.
  5. Roll out very thin, place on cookie sheet or pizza pan.
  6. Let rise again.
  7. Bake at 400° till light brown.
  8. Place pizza sauce, trimmings and bake again till cheeses melt.

Sauce:

  1. Saute onions in oil until transparent.
  2. Add ingredients in order listed; stir.
  3. Let simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spread on crust.

NOTE: Pepperoni, salami, Canadian bacon, mushroom, and olives are all optional pizza toppings.
