Warabi-Szechwan Style

- 1 lb. Warabi
- 1 lb. Ground pork
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 T sugar
- 2 T vinegar
- 2 T cornstarch
- 2 Hawaiian red pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 t minced ginger
- 1 t minced garlic
- 1/2 cup sliced red bell peppers
1. Wash and clean warabi. Cut diagonally into 2-inch lengths.
2. Place warabi in a plastic bag and microwave on HI for 5 minutes.
3. Place in colander and rinse with cold water.
4. In skillet, brown ground pork; drain oil.
5. Combine soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, cornstarch, red pepper, ginger and garlic.
6. Add to ground pork.
7. Cook until mixture thickens.
8. Add warabi and bell peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
