Sesame Seed Cookies

Baking Time: 10-12 minutes

Temperature: 350°

Yields: 5 dozens

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • Sesame seed, toasted
  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift together flour, salt and baking soda, and add to creamed mixture.
  4. Chill dough until firm–approximately 1 hour.
  5. Roll into balls and then roll into toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Place on slightly greased cookie sheets and press down flat.
  7. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.
