Moa Kolea (Korean Chicken)

  • 1 cup shoyu
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vodka/gin
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic-pressed
  • 3 T peanut oil
  • 3 T roasted sesame seeds
  • 10 stalks onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp ajinomoto
  • 1 tsp black pepper

1. Combine all liquid ingredients.
2. Press garlic and mix.
3. Chop green onion and add.
4. Grind sesame seed and add.
5. Add dry ingredients and stir well.

Vodka is better than gin. Cut chicken thigh parallel to bone on both sides of bone.

Marinate 18 to 24 hours before.

Broil over charcoal – cook to well done.

Serve hot.
