Shredded Mango
- 1 doz. green hayden mangoes, cut in strips and salt overnight. rinse and drain
- ¼ cup Hawaiian salt
- 2½ cups raw sugar
- 2 boxes dark brown sugar
- ½ of orange rind (minced)
- 1 tsp. red food coloring
- 2 tsp. 5 spices
Put all together and cook for 1½ hours. Cool and pack in jars.
