Akuburgers

  • 1 lb. aku (fish) finely chopped
  • 1 small round onion, sliced
  • 2 stalks green onion, finely chopped
  • 3 slices bread, cut in ¼ inch cubes
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • ¼ tsp. ajinomoto

Dipping

  • 1 egg well beaten
  • ½ cup salad oil for pan frying
  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes

Place sliced round onion and chopped green onion on top of aku. With cutting knife, chop onion into fish. Combine with remaining ingredients and mix well. Form into 3 inch patties. Dip patties into beaten egg and dredge in crushed cornflakes. Pan fry aku burgers in heated oil until golden brown. Serves 4 to 6.
