Schinkenflechkerln

A Ham and Noodle dish that is a National favorite in Austria.

  • ½ lb. broad noodles (broken)
  • 1 lb. cooked Ham, diced
  • 1 cup light cream
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ½ cup grated parmesan swiss cheese

Cook and drain noodles. Combine with ham. Place in buttered shallow baking dish. Beat cream and eggs together. Add salt and pepper, pour over Ham and Noodles. Sprinkle with grated cheese and butter. Bake at 350 degrees, 45 minutes. Serves 4-6.

Instead of ham, canned spiced ham may be used.
