Fried Green Tomatoes

  • 3 large tomatoes
  • Corn meal
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bacon drippings

Wash tomatoes and slice (slightly thicker slices than ripe tomatoes). Season with salt and pepper; coat with corn meal (or half flour and half corn meal). Fry in bacon drippings until brown on both sides. Serves 6.
