Chicken with Oyster Sauce
- 3 T flour
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3/8 cup water
- 3 tsp. sugar
- 3/8 cup oyster sauce
- 3/4 tsp. ajinomoto
- 3/4 cup green onion
- 2 lb. Broiler-fryer or 2 lb. thighs.
Cut chicken in bitesize and coat with flour. Heat shortening and garlic, then add chicken. Stir until brown on highest possible. After browned, reduce heat. Add remaining ingredients. Just prior to serving, add green onions.
