Pretzels

  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 6 tbsp. evaporated milk
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Oil for frying

1. Mix together the egg, evaporated milk and water.
2. Sift cornstarch, flour, sugar and salt. Add to egg mixture.
3. Fry in hot oil using pretzel iron.

NOTE: Stir batter once in a while during frying. If thinner pretzels are desired, add a little more water.
