Crock Pot Beef Stew

  • 3 to 4 Carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 2 large Potatoes, cut lengthwise into 4 pieces
  • 2 large cans Tomato Sauce
  • 3 to 4 pounds Flap meat or Stew meat
  • Garlic powder
  • Flour
  • 2 to 4 pinches Hawaiian or Rock Salt
  • Coarse ground Pepper
  • 3 to 4 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Onion, quartered

Place carrots on bottom of 6-quart crock pot and then potatoes. Add tomato sauce.

Cut meat into 2 inch cubes. Mix generous amount of garlic powder into flour. Dredge meat thoroughly in flour mixture and place in crock pot. Add salt, pepper and bay leaves.

Cook on low heat for approximately 10 to 12 hours. Add onions about 2 hours before serving.

Takes a long time but meat is s-o-o-o tender and worth waiting for.
