Hawaiian Namasu
- 1/4 lb. salted salmon (sliced thin)
- 5 heaping tbsp. raw sugar
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 good size cucumbers – cut in chunks
- 2 large round onions – sliced
- 5 stalks celery – sliced diagonally
- grated carrots – optional
- chopped ginger – optional
- 1 tsp. ajinomoto
Combine all ingredients and refrigerate it overnite. Serve. It could be served after 3 hours of standing. Namasu will keep for a long time, if refrigerated.
