Cod Fish Baked in Spanish Sauce

Spanish Sauce:

  • 1 med sliced onion
  • 1 No. 2 can solid pack tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp ajinomoto
  • 4 T salad oil
  • 2 T Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dash of Tabasco Sauce
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Brown onion in salad oil, add green pepper. Add the soup, tomatoes, and some water, then remaining ingredients. Boil for a few minutes.

  • 2 lb codfish

Soak codfish overnight. Chop and boil until tender. Drain and place in baking dish. Pour sauce over and bake in moderate oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
