Sweet Sour Chicken Wings

Season chicken:

  • 2 lbs. chicken wings (cut into sections)
  • garlic salt
  • pepper
  • salt
  • monosodium glutamate (optional)

Dip chicken in egg then roll in cornstarch and fry in oil to brown.

Sauce:

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. shoyu
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ cup stock (made from boiling wing tips) or water

Place fried chicken in baking pan and pour sauce over it. Bake in oven 350 degrees for ½ hour. After first 10 minutes, turn chicken.
Variations: Use any other part of chicken, or shrimps. You may also heat it on top of the stove instead of the oven.
