Sweet Sour Chicken Wings
Season chicken:
- 2 lbs. chicken wings (cut into sections)
- garlic salt
- pepper
- salt
- monosodium glutamate (optional)
Dip chicken in egg then roll in cornstarch and fry in oil to brown.
Sauce:
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup vinegar
- 3 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. shoyu
- 1 tsp. salt
- ¼ cup stock (made from boiling wing tips) or water
Place fried chicken in baking pan and pour sauce over it. Bake in oven 350 degrees for ½ hour. After first 10 minutes, turn chicken.
Variations: Use any other part of chicken, or shrimps. You may also heat it on top of the stove instead of the oven.
