Spaghetti with Portuguese Sausage

From a Portuguese friend.

  • 1 Portuguese sausage*
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup string beans, sliced thinly
  • 1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti

In a small saucepan put sausage and 1/2 cup water; cook till tender. Cut sausage in 1/2″ slices and fry in a 10″ skillet for 2 minutes. Add carrot and string beans; cook till halfway done. Add tomato sauce; cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add spaghetti, mix well, and remove from heat.
