Marinated Picnic Steaks

Class of 1947

  • 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup sauterne
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Dash pepper
  • 6 steaks (4-oz) 1/2-1/4 inch thick

Combine all ingredients, place steaks in individual foil wrappers. Pour mixture over steaks and let stand for 1½ hours in refrigerator. Just before leaving, re-wrap steaks. Cook on barbecue grill 1½-2 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness.
